This large property had been in the hands of the owner for many years. The old kitchen was furnished in French farmhouse style, with all the equipment concentrated in one area. The object was to separate the utility area and this was achieved by removing an outside W.C. and store. The extension which replaced them was designed to retain the external symmetry of the building.
The result was a spacious area for laundry and general storage, separated from the main food preparation area. This provided 2 single Miele ovens and microwave with a full Sub-Zero fridge/freezer with ice and water dispenser. A focal point was the island extractor with external motor over the high-tech induction hob.
The predominant feature of the design is the use of curved cabinets and the unusual peninsular run surrounding the hob, creating an ultra-efficient preparation and serving station.
