The objective for these clients was to create a large, spacious kitchen with an eating area for entertaining six people. The existing kitchen was long and very dark, with varying ceiling levels, while the adjacent main room featured a decorative ceiling, which provided the inspiration for the resultant design.

A curved lowered ceiling was introduced, with classical coving specially made to match the original, and enhanced with LED lighting. The floor below was raised and built to match it in shape. Central to it, a curved island provided an almost stage-like setting for oriental cuisine using Miele’s Tepan hob – perfect for stir-fry.

General cooking is catered for with the capacious range, with main appliances provided by Miele. An unusual and very practical addition is the laundry drying cabinet by Maytag.
