Handmade Natural Ash Kitchen
The kitchen is very much the hub of this large Georgian style house, whose owners use the room’s cooking, dining and sitting facilities to their fullest. Cooking capacity was provided by a full double American Wolf oven and 5 zone induction hob, with large scale cooling and freezing from Sub-Zero of America.
Featured in Beautiful Kitchen magazine, this well proportioned room allowed the use of angles to create an efficient and visually interesting work area. A walk-in corner larder gave generous food storage and the couple’s two dogs were given their own home away from the main preparation area.
Large capacity American cooking and cooling appliances were a prime requirement for this kitchen, as was an eating area for informal meals, so some clever thinking was essential if all these were to be incorporated within the space available.
Bespoke furniture in natural ash was chosen which gave free rein to the designer. By using base units to form an angled peninsular, additional worktop space was created and a natural place for the integrated dining table was formed.
